    Because the esp scsi driver was rewritten in 2.4 and doesn't contain the
    same bugs, or invoke the same compiler bugs, that the one in 2.2 does.
    That's my theory anyway.

    Try the kernel rpm from redhat 6.0, if this the problem you are
    experiencing then that one will work.
