Hello!
Some Days ago I got a old RDI BriteLite IPX Laptop (sun4c) and I am
trying to install Linux on it, after I successfully installed a Solaris 7
core system.
The machine can boot from cdrom without any problems, detects everything
and brings me up to the linuxrc "Select Language" Screen, however there
is no reaction on typing any key on the keyboard.
The Problem also appears with Redhat SPARC Edition.
At the SILO Prompt typing the keyboard was still OK, an during booting
linux the message "sun type 4 keyboard detected without keyclick" appears,
during boot-up the keyboard-LEDS go out and there is no reaction,
also Stop-A is not recognized.
Howerver the OpenBoot device tree seems to be read out, since when I set
keyboard-click? to true in the PROM Monitor, I get the message
"sun type 4 keyboard detected with keyclick" on booting linux.
Any ideas???
Thank you to everybody who attempts to help ...
regards,
Volker
