system date is always 1968

    hi,

    when i set the current date and reboot my sparc lx, then the systemdate is always reseted to 1968.

    i think the battery is low.

    the nvram store all my aliases and host-id and, and, and correct.when booting the kernel( 2.4 ) say he is unable to connect to the hardware-cmos time.

    can i attach a external battery and when yes, to which pins and what voltage ???
