Subject: gmc crashes on virgin system?

I just installed 7.1 onto my sparc 20, and when I log in (as a user) a gnome session, everything seems to start up fine (and I can run mozilla, gnome-termina, etc), except gmc. I get little pop-up windows saying that gmc segfaulted, and after 5 or so failures another window asking if I'd like to remove gmc from the statup programs.

The only thing I can think of is maybe a hardware problem, as It's hard to believe that something like this would get by q and a.

    System:

    Sparc 20
    128 Mb RAM
4Mb VSIMM for on board SX graphics
1 9Gb SCSI drive (quantum atlas II 10k)
1 18Gb SCSI Drive (IBM deskstar)
    1 dual HyperSparc 125Mhz + 512k Cache module (2 CPU's)

When I installed 7.1, I selected, hmm, games, devel, gnome, and networking. no kde.

Let me know if you need any more information to troubleshoot.

    Thanks,
      Matt
