    Sorry, but I can't see this rule followed in the current version. One of
    the first things you do is partitioning the disks and then formatting
    them. I can't see how this might be revertable (at least not the
    formatting). And the whole network/printer/sound config is done after
    all the packages are installed.

    I can't find this option in both of them (the YaST2 control center and
    the rc.config file -- is there another rc.config editor than YaST1 or
    vi?). And honestly: if you look at the YaST2 network icons: do you think
    it is easy to understand? I think the configuration options should come
    from the services, not the programs, i.e. there should be an option to
    turn on/off and restrict ftp, http or telnet access not configuring
    inetd, httpd and the hosts.* files.

    But I should stop here -- it started as thinking aloud and gets into
    complaining now. I just hoped you liked my ideas and would implement
    them, but as long as nobody else does I'll use SuSE again :-)
