hey guys,
i got a hold of a Sony 924s, and my home pc doesn't have any scsi ports,
so i took an old sparc classic that had SuSE7.0 on it and hooked the
drive to it.
reading cd works fine, i have not tried burning with this drive under
any other
os, (nor can i without buying a scsi adapter), now i don't have x
installed on the
classic because it only has a 500mb hard drive. so i mounted my cd_image
using
nfs, (via a 10mb ethernet to my main i386 box), anyway my first attempt
spewed
a bunch of errors.....(attached txt file)..........is it possible the cd
is already burnt
and just has no files on it? (the disk came with the drive)........i
used instructions
from the CD-Writing HOWTO, i made the cd_image on the i386 box then
mounted it using the loop0 dev to test and all looked good.
thanks for any advise,
-don
