    It is a UltraSPARC problem on 7.1. Don't know about the current 2.4.x
    kernel, I cannot compile them in the moment.
    With 2.2.xx, there is no converter for 32bit userland <-> 64bit kernel space.
    With 2.4.x, this convierter is broken and/or LVM itself is broken, depending
    on the kernel version and patchset you are using.

    Works fine with 2.2.18. Not tested with a newer kernel.
