    I've blindly assumed that the new kernel offers improvements generally over
    earlier versions. At any rate, from the traffic on this list, I understand
    that nobody is actively focused on the 2.4 kernel for 32-bit sparcs. I
    really hope that these machines don't get left behind as Linux moves
    forward.

    Is there any reason in particular why you wanna use the 2.4.x kernel on
    it? I'd recommend sticking with a 2.2.x kernel on 32-bit sparcs for
    now...
