Subject: [suse-sparc] Color depth / resolution on Ultra 10 ?

    Hi,

I'm having a few battles getting the right resolution out of my Ultra 10 -
it came installed with Slowlaris 7 , and seemed to run 1280x1024 with a 24
    bit depth no problems.

Using SaX however , the card is detected as a Mach64 , with 4 meg RAM - and
1280x1024 will only run in 16 bit depth. Normally this wouldn't bother me in
the slightest , but the application we're planning to run looks fairly bad
unless its run in 24bit color.

The question is , how did Solaris manage it ?

As an aside - I have a PCI Voodoo 2000 card with 16 meg on it - anyone have
any idea how to get the Ultra to use this as the default card instead of the
    built in one ?

    Thanks in advance !!

    Cheers,
    Allan.
