    At Fri, 16 Nov 2001 it looks like Bruce Forsberg composed:

    forsbe->I never used fdisk to label the harddrive. I just found info that
    forsbe->says to do this. I used the format command when installing Solaris
    forsbe->8. I am not very familiar with the format command. I just did what
    forsbe->our sysadmins at work do when doing a fresh install of Solaris. They
    forsbe->usually install a backup label on the 3rd partition that spans the
    forsbe->entire drive and then label the drive. I agree with Thomas try the
    forsbe->auto mode first.
    forsbe->

    Well, now it appears that I can't even use the command:

    ok boot cdrom

    And once booted into Linux I can put a CD into the drive and even
    Linux will tell me "mount: No medium found"

    Jeez, do I have to start swapping in a different CDROM to check this
    one now. (grrr) It's a new machine too.
