    Hey, I can answer at least part of your question. With minicom, stop-a is
    the equivalent of a break, which is (I believe, double-check to make sure)
    CTRL-A and S. That shoudl get it. As to the rescue disk thing, I found
    that out the hard way as well. (SparcClassic with no monitor/keyboard)
    The problem is that it wasn't designed to be run through the serial port.
    In your situation your best bet is to use tftp and boot through the net.
    (Its not hard, and kind of neat to watch)

    Unfortunately, that's about all I can help with, but thought I would throw
    that out....
