    Just to give a bit of background to when i noticed this problem. SCSI
    under RH6.0 worked fine as it first shipped, then RH released an updated
    egcs and an updated kernel compiled with the updated egcs, this is when
    scsi problems started.

    So if the egcs 1.1.2 used below is up to date with all the latest sparc
    patches applied, i suspect it will still cause scsi problems.
