    Please make sure the "nkitb" package is installed for telnet client
    and "nkitserv" and "inetd" for the telnet daemon. You can search in
    YaST2 for files in the RPMs to find the correct package.

    There should be packages like lx_suse, lx_sus22 or lx_sus24 (I don't know
    exact which of them are on the 7.1, there should be at least 2, one for
    kernel 2.2 and one for kernel 2.4). This packages are on one of the
    first 3 CDs.

    Create the home dir with mkdir, I don't know why in your case YaST does not
    create it.

    SuSE Linux 7.1 does not come with netscape because there is no working
    netscape binary. The old netscape binary does not work with current
    glibc versions (this is the disadvantage of closed source software).

    But you can update to KDE 2.2 and use konquerer or you can install
    mozilla.
