    Subject: [suse-sparc] Problems installing 7.1 on SS2

I have a SparcStation2 with 64M and 2x1Gb disk serial console no CD.
PPC Linux machine is the tftp server, x86 Linux is NFS server and Yast1
    starts without any problem.
During the partition part of the install, I can change the type of
    partitions
and can delete existing partitions but any attempt to create results in a
    briefly
displayed error something along the lines of 'Time too long...' - I don't
    get to
see the whole message - and then get sent back to start of install process.

(RedHat also has a similarly disastrous effect on the hard disks, requiring
a low-level format to repair the damage).

Since this is my first install with Suse or Sparc, any help would be
    appreciated.
