Hello.
I'm running suse 7.1 on an Ultra1/128MB/2GB, which I am going to use as a
gateway/server.
The problem is that of my second netowk adapter. As far as I can tell it's
an AMD lance (the same chip as the onboard adapter, I think). The problem is
that i can't activate it using ifconfig. If I do so (ifconfig eth1 up) I get
this error message: "SIOCIFFLAGS: Resource currently unavailable".
In /proc/net/dev it seems as if the adapter is up and running, which is also
the case with YaST when running from SSH-console. When using YaST2 in X it
reports the adapter as not being active and in the small console window in X
(bottom right corner) it says: "sun kernel: IRQ: Trying to share non-PCI
bucket." and: "sun kernel: Lance: Can't get irq 5, 7d4".
I'm confused about the support of this card as it isn't listed in the faq at
www.ultralinux.org but is using the same chip as the onboard adapter, which
is functioning properly. If someone could clarify this for me or give me a
hint about how to make it work, I would be most grateful.
A picture of the adapter I'm using is at:

Thank you in advance...
