I have a SS20 w/ Suse 7.1 freshly installed.
Since installation, whenever X is started, I can no longer
use the Ctrl-Alt-F-key combinations to get to my virtual
tty consoles.
Is there a Suse Configuration in Yast or somewhere else
that disables this behavior? Once X stops, everything is
back to normal. I tried several WindowManagers and they
all exhibit this behavior.
I modified my .xinitrc to put run an xterm before running my
windowmanager (to have X running with NO window manager
running yet), and as soon as X starts, my virtual consoles
are no longer accessible.
Is there an X attribute or configuration that disables virtual consoles?
I installed the same 7.1 on another Ultra 2 a week later and
it does not have this "feature".
