Hi,
I've tried the beta 1 on my blade 100. I could finally
get it boot by using (at SILO boot prompt) :
/boot/vmlinuz53 initrd=/boot/initrd32
Using the initrd64 won't boot and result in a error
message (MMU access error, or something like that,
oups, I should have written it, I'll check at home).
Any idea why ?
I could install it properly, but could not use
ReiserFS, yast1 tells me that the kernell doesn't
support it when it tries to mount the newly created
partition.
When I try to use yast2, my screen turns on and off
once every 5 seconds, making it hard to use.
The mouse (USB) is not detected by gpm (using the USB
preset), resulting in a :
oops, no /dev/mouse
And finally, when halting with "halt", everything
closes properly, but the blade ends up with a weird
screen, a mix between a linux console, and an unusable
PROM prompt. I must hold the poweroff button some
seconds to power it off completely.
Anyway, I really enjoy using linux on Sparc, thanks
for the work !
