I have used six in an enterprise 4000 6x166Mhz. The system seened to
utilize then rather well with postfix.
Suse 7.1 installs a 2.2 series kernel.
Redhat 6.2 installs a 2.2? series kernel (pretty out of date).
I am not sure about debian.

How many CPUs are supported by a 2.2.x kernel ?
Is there any difference between Linux distributions as far as the kernel
itself is concerned ?
Thanks
