    What display driver (graphics card) are you using? Most of the
    XF86 drivers for Sun video cards, such as Creator or Elite, do
    not implement screen blanking and DPMS, even though the cards can
    do them. I use a home-grown patch (thanks to David Miller) for
    the sunffb (Creator/Elite) driver, and there is one for the cg6.

    If, on the other hand, this is a windowmaker-specific problem you are
    looking at, I'm afraid I don't have any specific information.
