Nope..it's he same as I have...
And also I was able to boot from any CD...SuSE 7.3, Debian 3.0
as also downloaded Solaris 8/9 CDs.
I just had to burn them on a PC with Easy CD creator..
They weren't bootable burned on a Mac with Toast.

ok. So I don't need a 'special' image for sunblade 100, do I? the image for
7.3 (for sparc) should work.
and (I hope!!) I also don't have to compile my own kernel (don't even know
how....)
but it makes me wonder, why I can boot a sparc 20 and also an ultra 10 from
the same CD's...
they seem to be bootable (burnt them with cdrecord on solaris).
but nevertheless I think it's worth to try another program.
Before I start further investigation I will try with Easy CD creator on my
PC.
