    I think, i found a solution for that Problem.

    SuSE uses the ppp 2.3.7 witch is not able to do DoD on rp-pppoe.
    This may be the reason for Problems with smpppd (the old pppoed) too.
    A ppp newer than 2.3.10.3 is needed. (smpppd not tested yet.)

    After installing ppp-2.3.11.2-src.rpm and compiling on my Box,
    now rp-pppoe works in DoD-Mode! The newest ppp for 2.2.x is 2.3.11.7
    You can't use the ppp 2.4.1, this version is only for 2.4.x-Kernels!!!

    I hope, now Thorsten Kukuk do a official SUSE RPM-Update for the many
    Sparcusers with 2.2.20-Kernel. Imho ppp and adsl is a very important
    Thing for many Sparc@Home-Users.

    Please, Thorsten... do it!
