Hi,
Are there any entries in /var/log/messages pertaining to the interface? I'm
having problems with several PCI ethernet cards reporting interrupt issues,
so maybe our problems are related. I've tried 5 different cards and haven't
gotten ANY to work.

Subject: [suse-sparc] Ethernetcard problems
Hi,
First I'd like to say SuSE Sparc 7.3 is great! Best sparc distro!
I've got an Ultrasparc II running SuSE 7.3 and want to turn it into a
firewall so I added an exta network card, an NE2000 compatible one (Realtek
8029). The other network card is an onboard Sun Happy Meal. The onboard card
connects to my ADSL modem, the NE2000 to my LAN. The onboard card is working
fine but the NE2000 isn't, I can ping other machines but I cant establish
TCP connections, like telnet, using the NE2000, really strange. I tried
using the onboard card for my lan and it worked perfectly so it probably
isnt a cable problem. I also tried another NIC, also a 8029 and I got the
same results. Anybody any idea what might cause this? I didn't do any kernel
updates or anything, just using the standard NE2k-pci driver.
Suggestions?
Niels
