I was using the kernel that installs by default with SuSE 7.3...I actually
can't tell you what kernel that is because I re-installed Solaris 8. Had
enough of SuSE 7.3.

I have an Ultra5 which has an Intel EtherExpressPro/100 properly
detected, with link, ping, etc, etc. I has been working quite well for a
couple of weeks now.
It is running with a 2.4.17 kernel. I didn't get in your mail, what
kernel version are you running. Could you please let me know.
