I believe you have to use XFree86 3.3.6 for the PCI-based framebuffers
as I haven't seen much support for the PCI Sun framebuffers in the
XFree86 4.x series.
You may have to choose the 3.3.6 package explicitly at install time to
acquire the package for configuration post install. Hope this helps.
