    I do get a boot prompt on the UPA card, but all graphics (e.g. the
    graphical login screen) are piped to the on-board controller. "boot -r"
    didn't seem to do anything different, as far as the gfx are concerned.
    Do I have to remove the on-board controller from the pci probe list to
    disable it? My guess is not, since theoretically one should be able to
    use both for two monitors.

    Thanks for the responses... I'll dig deeper in the online Sun
    documentation / help resources and muck around a bit more. ;)

    BTW, just thought I'd take the opportunity to say that I really like
    SuSE linux. Kudos to the SuSE folks.
