    Silly me, my Solaris problem stemmed from the fact that the SUNWafb*
    packages were not installed.... <slaps self on forehead> Once those
    were installed, using the Elite3d with Solaris was a snap (well, I
    haven't done anything "fancy" yet, aside from setting the resolution).

    But I'm still fighting with the Linux side of things... Running X11
    configuration from yast2, or running sax2 don't detect the Elite3d,
    although it does show up via fbset... And /dev/fb & /dev/fb0 are
    apparently pointing to the Elite3d.

    More experimentation when I have time later today...
