I've got the Elite3d working under Solaris now, i.e. it's set as the
main output device and I no longer have to swap my monitor cable back
and forth. ;)
Silly me, my Solaris problem stemmed from the fact that the SUNWafb*
packages were not installed.... <slaps self on forehead> Once those
were installed, using the Elite3d with Solaris was a snap (well, I
haven't done anything "fancy" yet, aside from setting the resolution).
But I'm still fighting with the Linux side of things... Running X11
configuration from yast2, or running sax2 don't detect the Elite3d,
although it does show up via fbset... And /dev/fb & /dev/fb0 are
apparently pointing to the Elite3d.
More experimentation when I have time later today...
