I don't see a report from you stating whether you were successful or
not but I suspect that you might not have any luck with the netboot
images from Suse Sparc 7.3.
There were some network (tulip) driver changes that were necessary for
running the X1 network at 100 base T. You might be lucky if you use a
10 base T hub or if you can force your hub to negotiate a link at 10
base T.
Failing that I probably still have a tftp image that I can let you
have but they may have the Suse 7.1 root image built into it. I could
probably find a 7.3 version if that didn't work.

P.S. I did have considerable difficulty getting Suse 7.1 to install on
the X1 using NFS. I never really got to the bottom of it but I have a
sneaking suspicion that it might have something to do with requiring
rpcbind to be running when a mount is done. I have definitely mounts
taking 5 minutes (during normal running - not install) but if I
started rpcbind the mount worked correctly. I never did get chance to
chase this down.
