    Subject: [suse-sparc] mouse haywire w/XFree4.1 in 7.3

subject kinda explains my problem, i didn't have any problem
with the default X under 7.1 & 7.0, so i'm thinking it has something
to do with the new XFree4.1 included in 7.3
mouse events seem to happen on thier own, usually when i'm moving the cursor
......sometimes the mouse cursor will be over an application window and root
menus start opening like i had just clicked on the root window, sometimes the
virtual desktops start switching by themselves, etc....
i haven't been able to pinpoint if it is related to any one application being
open, i have gotten rid of gpm totally, and i have tried different window
managers, i thought maybe it was a resources problem so i tried to run as
lean a desktop as i could, but it wasn't any help.......has anyone else had
    this problem?
is there an update available to cure this? should i get XFree86-3.3.1 and
install with the old Xsun24 server?

the hardware here is pretty old, but seemed to work ok with 7.0 & 7.1

    i have a sparc station 20 with dual sm50, 128mb RAM, and cg14 w/ 4mb VSIMM,

and BTW, i recently tried to install debian-sparc on this box, after being a
loyal SuSE user on i386 since 5.3, my advice to others contemplating this is
    - Don't........i have been spoiled by yast1 and the learning curve of apt-get
and dselect was too great............keep up the good work guys!

    TIA,
    don
