    You can see what kernel version you are running by using "uname -r".
    I've seen this issue with 2.2.19, 2.2.20 and a couple of 2.4 kernels
    (including the latest 2.4.17).

    For me, the hardware bug shows up when the card receives a lot of
    information. For example, if I rsync an iso image to or from the Ultra5.
    That is, with Solaris, or with Linux.

    Looking at the error codes at drivers/net/sunhme.h, the error I get
    (00010021) it was a "Receive FIFO overflow". You're error seems to be an
    "Error during receive dma".

    Hmmm... Have you tried to compile the kernel by youself? Under what
    conditions does the error occurr?
