    But ifconfig -a does not show any eth interface in a down state.
     I only have the loopback in my. My dmesg shows no ethernet
    drivers being loaded, like was shown while running Redhat. Last
    night I reinstalled Redhat6.2 on a new drive to test if the network
    card had just died, and it loaded up the lance driver fine.

    Perhaps there is something weird with my hardware, or Im overlooking
    something very simple...
