    I also have an Ultra10 and Dell P991 (a Sony Trinitron knock-off), and
    have had a lot of flickering problems, and strange screen warping
    problems. Configuring X was, to be honest, a royal pain in the ass.
    Sax2 and yast2 seemed to give inconsistent results every time I ran them.

    I received the best results with sax2. Also, the P991 is, I believe,
    the same monitor as the Sony Multiscan CPD-G400, so since the P991 is
    not in the list of Dell monitors, you can try choosing the sony model
    from the list when configuring X, which is what I did. This seemed to
    give better results than simply filling in the vert. & horiz. synch
    ranges. (I make no guarantees that these are indeed the same models and
    that your monitor won't burst into flames. You have been warned.)
