    Subject: [suse-sparc] Ping Times...

    Hi all

Is it me or are the reported ping times for SuSE 7.3 on Sparc Ultra systems
    a bit strange.

For instance if I ping a local system I get ping times like 1410.2188 sec
even though the ping responds normally.
on the summary line the min max and average times are quoted in ms but with
    numbers like 1331419.490..

The network appears to be working just fine, so I can only guess that it has
something to do with the ping program having a problem with 64 bit
    processors.
This could be a real problem if you use the system to monitor network
devices and report the ping times, such as programs like Big brother.

Has anybody else seen this, is there a fix..
