Hi Uli,
You can use the 2.1, 4.3 and 9.1 GB disk (SCA): These are used by SUN as
well
Other sizes (18, 36, 52, ...) Might work....
Don't think that the capacity is the main problem: more the heat they
produce.
Other point of attention is LVD/HVD: newer drivers use Low Voltage
Differential scsi-bus interface
I was told you can not mix them with devices (drives, cdrom) with other
electrical interfaces.
I bought a 36G sca drive from ebay but could not test it: it arrived D.O.A.
;-((
Currently I use old 2GB drives (6 of them on a small scsi board, with LVM)

Subject: [suse-sparc] HD for SS20
Hello everybody!
I have a question about the types of harddisks which fit into a
SPARCstation20 (I have only a 1GB [which seems to have some physical
problems, extremely noisy] but this is not enough for me and my
demands for a running linux system).
Are there any limitations in the GB size of an internal HD?
Greetings, Uli
PS: I've asked a similar question a long time ago but I've been out
of
office for quite a while and cannot remember the answers.
