Unless this was something added with 7.3, I don't think this is my problem.
The install runs fine up to the point its trying to install the packages.
Its during this phase that it runs into a problem, namely one of the
packages
dies with an error, but I don't know what exactly is causing the problem.
I did the 7.1 install as a fresh install, but still used the serial port
with no problems.
A thought that just occurred to me is, does the update try to first copy
all of the new packages from the CD to the hard drive and THEN install? If
so, then the problem could simply be one of disk space, as it only has a 2
gig hard drive on it, and I believe it was somewhere around half full. Does
this ring any bells for anyone?
