    Using fdisk in one of the virtual consoles during install of SuSE 7.3 worked
    for me on my Ultra 5. I forget right off hand which VC it was, but, if in
    GUI installer mode use CTRL-ALT-Fx to switch VC's until you find the nice
    root shell, from which you execute fdisk, make your new disklabel, and write
    it out.

    I'll more properly document it when I get a 30GB disk to go into it.
