    Here we go.
On Sparc Ultra 10 (2.4.19-pre9) **modprobe ne2k-pci** looks good first:

    ne2k-pci.c:v1.02 10/19/2000 D. Becker/P. Gortmaker
    http://www.scyld.com/network/ne2k-pci.html
    eth0: RealTek RTL-8029 found at 0x1fe02000800, IRQ 6926976, 52:54:05:F8:5B:AF.

and I can ping the NIC after ifconfig 'em an IP.

But thats all! NO ftp, ssh, xdm (sure, server runs)... AND NO MESSAGES
    FROM DRIVER (even with debug=31).

    ( >>> putting NIC back in x86-box IT WORKS <<< )

Please help to forward to (if subscribed):

    linux-kernel@vger.rutgers.edu
    sparclinux@vger.kernel.org
    or other relevant

(I got user-unknown-replies and can't subscribe even in more lists...)

    Thanks
    norbert
