Subject: [suse-sparc] Sparc64 bit kernel with pre-empt multitasking, low latency

I started using 2.4.19-pre7 on the x86 with pre-empt multitasking, low
latency patches. Its noted that the 2.5.16(or something) is the standard.

Now the question, Is there a beast for the Sparc64? I noticed that with this
on x86, X-windows is snappier, and also Solaris 9 has it.
I haven't tried anything beyond the standard 7.3 install (2.4.14), due to my
unfamiliarity with the sparc version of Linux boot sequence.

    Thanks.
