what kind of video problem ?
i couldn't get X to run on my Blade 100, seems to be a timing/sync
problem... the generated video signal seems to not exactly match the
configuration, so my cheap TFT can't sync...Solaris works fine on the
same box with the same screen...

i run without any problem a 2.4.19-pre10, and previously a pre8. as far
as i remember the pre8 was the first one where reiserfs worked again on
sparc... so i couldn't test the other ones.
i didn't change anything to initrd... still use the default one... i
just copied the kernel and the System-map (called vmlinuz-2.4.19-pre10
    and System.map-2.4.19-pre10) to /boot and configured /boot/silo.conf
