    I use one of these as my firewall and router to the
    Internet. Loaded up with full memory (48MB), a small
    kernel and enough disk space this is quite a useful
    box. Mine has been performing this task for six years
    now, first via pptp and now over dsl.

    The down side is that these machines are too slow to
    run any UI, so don't expect to use one of these as a
    workstation.
