    for me no pic appears on the screen as the screen can't sync... i used
    the option
            Option "ReferenceClock" "29.499Mhz"
    so the picture appears for a fraction of second... then disapears for
    several seconds until it flashs again...
    but the flash don't seem scrambled... but it's hard to tell exactly. the
    new kernel didn't solve the problem, it's probably somewhere in XFree.
    didn't try another monitor as i haven't got another one...
