maybe I should have used a more descriptive subject line :-)
My main problem was long (VERY long, over 1 minute) konqueror startups
that suddenly started with kde 3.0.1. A search of the kde-bugs mailing
list found someone asking the same question for kde built for solaris
7, and the answer was that qt-3.0.4 is the problem, try qt-3.0.3. This
means building it from source, which I am doing now, and it looks to be
a very lengthy process. If it helps, I'll report back.
I'm still wondering why nobody else here has seen this problem, though!
I even went so far as to obliterate any trace of anything kde-related
on my system and JUST install the kde3 base packages.
