Subject: [suse-sparc] Kernel 'image too large' question?

    List Friends,

Am trying to compile a 2.4.18 kernel on an SS10 (sun4m?) with SMP support...
    Kernel sources are from kernel.org.

    # make vmlinux

Compile works aok, but boot gives me the famous 'image too large' message.
Virtually every option module-able I've added as a module. I've read
comments here that RAMdisk support is required (I had done this anyway), and
still no luck. I think I remember that simply making the RAMdisk larger
    doesn't work either. Any ideas?

I did this a year ago or so, but don't remember the resolution - can someone
    help?

    Thanks! Lou
