Hi,
I managed to install SuSE 7.3 on my SparcStation5. Now i would like to boot
in it. At the moment I can only put in my SuSE CD boot from it via the
command "Boot CDROM" abort the installer and chose to boot an already
installed system. SuSE is the only OS on the system. Do I need SILO? How do
i configure it.
For the moment I don't know how to boot from the disk.
/boot is on /dev/sda1
/ on /dev/sda4
/dev/sda3 Whole disk
/dev/sda1/ swap
/dev/sda = Quantum
When starting my system I can't get it to boot from disk. I tried an awfull
lot of combinations using boot diskX:X....
Can anybody help me. How do i configure the bootprom of the Sparc and/or
Silo??
Thanks in advance,
Bob
