I checked the MD5 sum for disk 1 and it checks out fine. (Disks 2 and 3 I'm
not sure on, but I'm positive on Disk 1) But, I still get that message about
the versions not matching. Also, if the disk were corrupt, wouldn't there
have been more obvious or severe errors? (And wouldn't more people have
reported this?)
As to not being able to read the package labels, it's not going to the CD
at this point, its getting its own list from the drive. Where is it getting
this information from? Watching top, it looks like its using an rpm query
to get a list of installed programs, is it then comparing to a master list
somewhere, if so, where?
Thanks for the help!
