    I think i did set a sun disklabel because setup failed the first time when i
    did not have one. I used solaris to fdisk and then removed the partitions
    with yast during setup (I did NOT delete the following partitions: '/dev/sda
    Quantum' and '/dev/sda3 Whole disk' when setting up. How do i check if the
    disk has a disk label? Can i set it without formatting and thus needing to
    do the whole setup again?

    When i type 'boot disk' this is displayed:
    ==
    Boot device: /iommu/sbus/espdma@5,8400000/esp@5,8800000/sd@3,0

    Can't open boot device

    Did you put a Sun Disk Label on the disk?

    If you formatted the drive, you need to use the 's' command to fdisk to put
    a
    Sun Disk Label on the drive or you won't be able to boot from it.
