As many of you found before me. Yast does not recognize any of the install
cd's i also can't get automatic update from ftp to work. I hope i or
somebody else will find the answer to this problem soon.

Well I found the same problem with the disk label, I had a 4 GB disk
from a SGI workstation, and I had a lot of problem configuring it with
the sun, I solved the problem labeling it with another sun with the
format utility from solaris 2.8.
For the update issue you can try to get the updates and do a
rpm -Uhv name.rpm
to do the update.
