Subject: [suse-sparc] Location of insmod, modprobe search path?

    All,

Once Iıve gotten a successful compile of a new kernel, what setting do I
change to make insmod and modprobe search the new module tree which
    happens to be under /lib/2.4.17/...

As things stand, even if I am in part of the /lib/2.4 module tree, insmod
uses module Œ.oı files from the 2.2 tree. Hmmm...

Iıve seen documentation suggesting this search path is in /etc/modules.conf,
but donıt see such a path.

Naturally, Iıd like a solution which doesnıt totally blitz my existing
module tree under 2.2... ie, is changeable.

    Ideas?
