It could take a long time, from my experience, it mainly depends on two
factors:
- firstly, the speed of you cd-drive, if you're blessed with a "original"
drive (double or quad speed), you're in for a long ride.
My eyes popped out when i accidentally used my cd-burner, that reads at
32-fold speed.
- secondly, the speed of your cpu (you didn't mention what kind of sun, just
4M) The final part, in which the system tries to makes sense of loaded
software and present hardware, can take a lot of time. When installing an
Ultra you might have a coffee break, when doing an LX whith a 30MHz cpu, i
would suggest you plan and perform a five-star banquet...

Is it just me, or does the installation seem to take a VERY long time? I
started the install at around 4pm. It's at 80% right now, and this is just
the default sets (with the GUI).
