Subject: [suse-sparc] Setting up NFS-Root

Hello,

I am trying to setup a diskless client's root directory to be mounted by NFS
at boot time.

I was reading in the NFS-Root HOWTO that you should setup a device file by

mknod /dev/nfs b 0 255

then alter the client's kernel with

rdev vmlinux /dev/nfs

Does this apply to sparc linux becuase I can't find the program 'rdev'
anywhere in the suse sparc distribution?
