Dear all...
recently i upgraded to kernel 2.4.23 due to the sbrk() exploits. As before,
i had no problems with getting the kernel built and running on my 2 sparc 10
machines. Everything is working fine.
Now, i tried to build a SMP kernel to support the 2nd CPU on one of these
machines. Once again, the kernel and modules build and install fine.
When booting, i get 2 Splash-Tuxes and /proc/cpuinfo shows both CPUs up.
The problems come with depmod and modprobe, which reclaim unresolved symbols
on each and every module in conjunction with spinlocks & friends.
Seems /boot/System.map-2.4.23 knows those missing symbols, but /proc/ksyms
of the SMP kernel does not.
Anybody out there got any idea ?
Andreas
